Text my Sister is a dynamic, interdependent curatorial organization that aims at facilitating meaningful connections internationally. Text my Sister was born out of the need for different forms of collaboration and relationality within the contemporary art-field.

We respond to the need of building lasting professional friendships and resilient practices that find ways to keep up with systemic changes that characterize current times.

At its core, Text my Sister seeks to build a shared space for curiosity and inquiry, where the artistic organizations, artists and thinkers involved provide one another with support, to develop and explore the edges of their own practices and find out what else there can be.

To explore the sociocultural potential of decentralized practices, Text my Sister is initially formed as a non-space; we are based everywhere and in the in-between. Text My Sister is transformed through our movement and the relations we build. We focus on activating multiple micro-centres and connect them to each other through emphasis on exchange, reciprocity and experiment.

In 2025, the program will connect Noord-Brabant (Netherlands), Brno (Czech Republic), and Vantaa and Joutsa (Finland) through our exhibition exchange network. Each country alternately engages as hosting partner and being guest — creating a dynamic flow of artistic exchange.
