Exhibitions
Our exhibitions are hosted by partners within The Netherlands and abroad. Each year, Text My Sister organizes an Exhibition Exchange Program (EEP) to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange and artistic exploration across borders. Central to this initiative is a decentralized exhibition program that connects three international partners.
Events
Each year, Text my Sister works with a different year theme. Within our program, dialogue and collective learning is fostered through a series of events that delve into the topic. Our events range from artist talks, film screenings, workshops, reading groups, lectures, and festivals.
Texts
We publish texts both online and in print. Our growing library is geared to create a deeper understanding of the thematics we work with, as well as of the respective ecology of the local art scenes surrounding our yearly partner-institutions.
Virtual Showcase
In our ‘Sisters’ program, the artists, curators and institutions from previous collaborations are introduced to the online audience. This virtual showcase is one of Text my Sisters' efforts to create an ongoing relationship with our partners while building a thematic archive that can also be consulted by others.
Text my Sister (TmS) is a platform for contemporary art that deals with topics of societal urgency. Always departing from a future-curious standpoint, we look at these topics from a pluriform and speculative angle. Collaboration is central to our way of operating, both through thematic exploration and through a relational way of working. TmS dwells in non-capital areas. We engage with these regions through cross-pollination. This gives us the opportunity to be more attentive to geographical and cultural nuances and work in a less universalising way.
