OPEN CALL: Workshop Exploring Alternative Knowledge Practices

Artist Workshops — Exploring Alternative Knowledge Practices
As we approach the final chapter of The Day it Rains Jellyfish exhibition exchange series, we dedicate this phase to strengthening the programme’s grounding in the Netherlands. We invite artists, researchers, and practitioners to propose and host collective workshops and reading sessions that explore conspiracy as a generative force and experiment with alternative ways of producing and sharing knowledge.
We are interested in workshops that expand, question, and reimagine how knowledge is shared, produced, and embodied. The format is open, and proposals may involve — but are not limited to:
– embodied, experimental, or non-linear learning methods
– collective or participatory knowledge-making
– hybrid practices merging artistic, social, speculative, or theoretical approaches
Workshops may be practical, theoretical, performative, or situated somewhere in between. We especially welcome formats that challenge traditional dynamics of knowledge transfer and invite participants into collective inquiry.
The workshop will take place at Van Abbehuis (Brabant, NL) between February and May (exact date to be discussed upon selection).
The open call is open to everyone; however, we specifically encourage applicants with a strong relationship to Brabant to apply.
